Do debloat supplements work? Arrae, Lemme, Love Wellness, and Happy V reviewed

Fresh ginger root, an ingredient in three of the four debloat supplements reviewed

Short version: Debloat supplements can help some people, but mostly in small, short studies, and rarely the product itself. We read the labels on four popular ones: Arrae Bloat, Love Wellness Bye Bye Bloat, Happy V Debloat + Digest, and Lemme Debloat. Three hide most of their doses in a blend. Only Lemme's main ingredient has a placebo-controlled trial for gas and bloating, and its label doesn't give the dose.

  • Arrae and Love Wellness: herbs plus a little enzyme, with dandelion, a mild diuretic.
  • Happy V: 23 enzymes, ginger, and peppermint leaf, at small doses.
  • Lemme: a probiotic gummy with no spore count.
  • Better-studied options: peppermint oil capsules and soluble fiber.

Last updated October 2026.

Debloat supplements are everywhere. Some are capsules, some are gummies, and most promise a flatter belly in an hour or two.

So do they work? We looked at four big names and checked every ingredient against published studies. In the best trial we found, a probiotic in one gummy cut gas and bloating scores from about 8.9 to 3.1 over 4 weeks. Most of the other ingredients have far less behind them.

A note on us: Seya sells a fiber gummy, so we have a point of view. Nobody paid us for this post. We read each brand's label and site, then the research behind each ingredient.

Do debloat supplements work?

Some ingredients in them work for some people. The products themselves are mostly untested.

That gap matters. A study on one herb at one dose does not prove a blend of six herbs works. And the doses on these labels are often lower than the ones in the studies, or hidden.

Here is the rough picture, by ingredient:

  • Peppermint oil: good evidence for IBS symptoms. But most debloat blends use peppermint leaf, not the oil.
  • Food enzymes: help when one food is the trigger, like beans or dairy.
  • Ginger: can speed up how fast your stomach empties.
  • Dandelion and parsley: make you pee more. That is water, not gas.
  • Probiotics: a few small trials, mostly run by the strain's maker.

Debloat supplements compared: what's on each label

Here are the four products side by side, from each brand's own page as of October 26, 2026.

Product Format Key ingredients Doses shown? Price
Arrae Bloat Capsule Ginger, dandelion root, lemon balm, peppermint leaf, bromelain, slippery elm Ginger only (220 mg); the rest share a 1,080 mg blend $55 a bottle
Love Wellness Bye Bye Bloat Capsule Fenugreek, dandelion root, fennel, ginger, parsley leaf, 6 enzyme types No; all in one 700 mg blend $24.99 for 60 capsules
Happy V Debloat + Digest Capsule 23 enzymes, ginger, peppermint leaf Yes for herbs; enzymes in activity units $39.99 for 30 servings
Lemme Debloat Gummy 2 probiotic strains, XOS prebiotic No spore count; 55 mg mix $30 for 30 servings

A "proprietary blend" lists the total weight but not how much of each herb you get. That makes it hard to match a product to any study.

Arrae Bloat: ginger, herbs, and a blend

Arrae Bloat is a 2-capsule serving. The label shows 220 mg of ginger extract. Five more ingredients share a 1,080 mg blend: dandelion root, lemon balm, peppermint leaf, bromelain, and slippery elm. You can't tell how much of each is in there. See the Arrae Bloat product page.

Arrae says it works "in under 1 hour." Its page reports that 77% of participants said their digestion improved within 1 to 2 hours, and 71% felt less gassy. We could not find a published paper for that study, and the page does not say whether there was a placebo group.

Ginger has some real research. In one trial, 24 healthy adults took 1,200 mg of ginger before a meal. Their stomachs emptied faster than on placebo. See Wu et al. (Eur J Gastroenterol Hepatol, 2008). Arrae uses an extract, which is more concentrated than powder, so the doses don't compare one to one.

Love Wellness Bye Bye Bloat: enzymes plus diuretic herbs

Bye Bye Bloat puts everything in one 700 mg blend per 2 capsules. That blend holds fenugreek, dandelion root, fennel, ginger, and parsley leaf, plus six enzyme types, including amylase, lipase, bromelain, and papain. No single dose is listed, per the label on the Love Wellness product page.

Love Wellness says its parsley "supports normal water retention." Dandelion is there too. Both are known as diuretics, which means they make you pee more. In the one human study of dandelion, a leaf extract raised how often 17 people peed after the first dose. The third dose did nothing. See Clare et al. (J Altern Complement Med, 2009).

The brand cites a third-party study of 30 women aged 30 to 60 who took it at least 3 days a week for 4 weeks. 80% agreed their stomach felt more comfortable. That is a survey of how people felt. The page does not mention a placebo group, so we can't tell how much was the capsule.

Happy V Debloat + Digest: 23 enzymes, small doses

Happy V is the most open label of the four. Each 2-capsule serving lists 175 mg of ginger extract, 100 mg of peppermint leaf, and a 500 mg blend of 23 enzymes, each with an activity number. See the Happy V product page.

Enzymes can help, but only when they match your trigger. Alpha-galactosidase breaks down the sugars in beans. In a small trial, 8 adults ate a big bowl of beans with 300 or 1,200 units of it, or a placebo. The 1,200-unit dose cut gas production and flatulence. See Di Stefano et al. (Dig Dis Sci, 2007).

Happy V gives 75 units. That is one-sixteenth of the dose that worked best. The other 22 enzymes may help with other foods, but nobody has tested this mix.

Our guide to digestive enzymes vs fiber covers when enzymes are the right pick.

Lemme Debloat: the probiotic option

Lemme Debloat is the odd one out. It is a gummy with two probiotic strains and a little prebiotic, and no diuretic herbs.

One of its strains, LactoSpore, has the best trial of any ingredient here. 70 adults with gas and bloating took 2 billion spores a day or a placebo for 4 weeks. Scores fell from about 8.9 to 3.1 on the probiotic, and from 9.4 to 8.4 on placebo. See Majeed et al. (Medicine, 2023). The authors work for the company that sells the strain.

The catch: Lemme lists a 55 mg mix, not a spore count, so you can't match it to that study. It also has 3 g of added sugar per serving. Our full Lemme Debloat review goes through every ingredient.

What does "clinically studied" mean on a debloat label?

Often less than it sounds. The phrase can mean three different things:

  • The ingredient was studied, at some dose, in some people. This is the most common.
  • The product was tested in a survey, where people say how they feel. There may be no placebo.
  • The product was tested against a placebo. This is the strongest kind, and the rarest.

None of the four products links to a published, placebo-controlled trial of the product itself. When a page says "clinically studied," look for the study. If you can't find it, treat the claim with care.

Are debloat supplements safe?

Most are low risk for healthy adults, but nobody checks them before they hit the shelf. In its own words, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration says it "does not have the authority to approve dietary supplements before they are marketed." The FDA also says it "does not test dietary supplements before they are sold to consumers."

A few things to watch for:

  • Diuretic herbs like dandelion and parsley act on water balance. If you take a water pill, ask your doctor first. The FDA notes some supplements "might interact with medicines or other supplements."
  • Enzyme blends often contain papain or bromelain, which come from papaya and pineapple. Check the label if you have a food allergy.
  • Pregnant, nursing, or on medicine? The FDA advises asking your doctor or pharmacist first.

Bloating with weight loss, blood in your stool, or pain that wakes you up needs a doctor, not a capsule. See when bloating isn't normal.

Are debloat supplements HSA or FSA eligible?

Usually not. The IRS rule in Publication 502 says you can't count the cost of "nutritional supplements, vitamins, herbal supplements, 'natural medicines,' etc., unless they are recommended by a medical practitioner as treatment for a specific medical condition diagnosed by a physician."

So a debloat capsule bought for everyday comfort doesn't qualify. If your doctor recommends one for a diagnosed condition, it might. Check with your plan before you pay with HSA or FSA funds.

What has better evidence than a debloat blend?

Two options have stronger research than any blend above.

Peppermint oil. A review of 12 trials with 835 people with IBS found peppermint oil capsules beat placebo for overall symptoms. For every 3 people who took it, about 1 more got better than on placebo. See Alammar et al. (BMC Complement Altern Med, 2019). That is the oil, usually in coated capsules, not dried leaf.

Soluble fiber. The American College of Gastroenterology recommends soluble fiber for IBS symptoms and suggests peppermint oil. It suggests against probiotics for overall IBS symptoms. See Lacy et al. (Am J Gastroenterol, 2021). The AGA advises using probiotics for IBS only in a clinical trial. See Su et al. (Gastroenterology, 2020).

Where Seya fits, honestly

Seya makes a fiber gummy made with resistant tapioca fiber. It supports regularity. It is not a fast debloat fix, and it won't flatten your belly in an hour. Fiber works best when you build up slowly and drink water. If you're weighing fiber against a probiotic, read fiber vs probiotics.

Our creatine gummy is coming January 2027. It is not on sale yet.

Frequently asked questions

Do debloat supplements actually work?

Some of their ingredients help some people, but the products themselves are mostly untested. Peppermint oil and soluble fiber have the strongest evidence. Many debloat blends use peppermint leaf instead of oil, and hide their doses in a proprietary blend.

Which debloat supplement has the best evidence?

Of the four we reviewed, Lemme Debloat's LactoSpore strain has the best trial: gas and bloating scores fell from about 8.9 to 3.1 over 4 weeks at 2 billion spores a day. But that trial was run by the strain's maker, and Lemme doesn't list a spore count.

Are debloat supplements safe?

Most are low risk for healthy adults, but the FDA does not approve or test supplements before they are sold. Diuretic herbs like dandelion and parsley act on water balance. Ask your doctor first if you are pregnant, nursing, or on medicine.

Are debloat supplements HSA or FSA eligible?

Usually not. IRS Publication 502 says herbal and nutritional supplements only count if a medical practitioner recommends them as treatment for a specific condition diagnosed by a physician. Check with your plan first.

Are debloat gummies better than capsules?

Not by format alone. What matters is what is inside and how much. Gummies often add sugar, like the 3 g in Lemme Debloat, while capsules can hold larger doses of herbs and enzymes.

Are debloat supplements just water pills?

Some partly are. Arrae and Love Wellness both include dandelion, and Love Wellness adds parsley, which it says supports water retention. Losing water can make your belly look flatter for a day, but it doesn't change gas or slow digestion.
